Paul is a busy and versatile composer working in Film, Theatre and the Concert Hall. Recent projects include the score for a new Nick Hornby scripted film An Education, due for release in the spring; the music for the forthcoming ITV drama An Englishman in New York starring John Hurt; a dance work for the Royal Opera House: The Thief of Baghdad, choreographed by Will Tuckett, which enjoyed a sell out run over Christmas, and the music for the Royal Shakespeare Company's critically acclaimed season which included A Midsummer Night's Dream and Hamlet starring David Tennant.

2008 saw the release of the Focus Features movie Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day,directed by Bharat Nalluri starring Amy Adams and Frances McDormand, for which Paul wrote a score fizzing with Big Band Jazz, and his work for Saxophone Quartet Everything is You was released on the album Dedicated to you but you weren't listening by the Delta Sax Quartet to stunning reviews.
