Welcome to the site of Paul Englishby

Paul is a busy and versatile composer working in Film, Theatre and the Concert Hall. Recent projects include the score for the Focus Features movie Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day starring Amy Adams and Frances McDormand, which reaches cinemas later this year. His score for Marianne Dreams, an innovative dance based has just completed a successful run at London's Almeida Theatre, and garnered critical praise. His piece for Saxophone Quartet Everything is You was released this year on the album "Dedicated to you but you weren't listening" by the Delta Sax Quartet, and received stunning reviews.

Forthcoming scores include the Nick Hornby scripted movie An Education starring Alfred Molina, Orlando Bloom and Emma Thompson,directed by Lone Scherfig, Hamlet for the RSC starring David Tennant, and a new Dance work, The Thief of Baghdad, choreographed by Will Tuckett for the Royal Opera House.
